Raising our standards for International Women’s Day

International Women’s Day is here; the day celebrates women’s achievements and how we can take action to create an equitable world.

VetSkill couldn’t thrive as we do without our incredible workforce. We like to think we offer a fair and safe environment for everyone to prosper, but there is always room for improvement. So today, we are patting ourselves on the back for what we already do but holding ourselves accountable and considering what more we can do in the future.

VetSkill celebrates:

  • Our board of directors has a 50/50 split between men and women

  • Flexible working policies to support all staff in their work and life balance

  • Menopause policy

  • Equal opportunities training

How will we improve?

VetSkill is always looking to improve our workplace policies, environment and culture to uplift our staff. Over the next year, we aim to:

  • Implement gender bias training

  • Research and consider developing menopause guidance and policies

  • Develop our staff intranet area to share information and support for our whole regularly

No one is perfect, but we actively reflect to ensure VetSkill is an equitable workplace.
